Aladdin's Soda Blasting Service
What is Soda Blasting? Soda Blasting is a process that uses Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate) propelled by compressed air through special blasting machine to remove surface contaminates. Baking Soda is water soluble and environmentally safe. It cleans the most delicate surfaces, while protecting the workers. Soda blasting can be done on wet or dry surfaces, and can be rinsed using water.
A specially formulated and processed Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda) called SodaClean is the specific substance used. Sodium Bicarbonate is an FDA/USDA and Kosher approved substance, therefore, it can also be used without concern in a food plant. SodaClean is formulated to be pure and free flowing.
Soda blasted particles remove surface contaminates by the energy released as the particles explode when pressure-driven into contact with a contaminant surface. It is specifically manufactured to be large, jagged, and irregular in shape for aggressiveness. The resulting release of energy disrupts the contaminate surface, thus leaving the substrate completely uneffected. Unlike sand blasting, soda blasting will not harm the surfaces it is used on.
The restoration industry uses Soda Blasting mostly for:
- Cleaning fire charred surfaces
- Removing smoke odors
- Mold & microbial remediation
- Removing graffiti
The benefits of using Soda over other cleaning methods includes:
- Baking Soda is USDA/FDA and Kosher approved
- Environmentally Safe
- Non-Abrasive, won't damage equipment
- Cleans up quickly and is water soluble
- Mobile design provides flexibility
It is also very effective cleaning other surfaces such as:
- Cars & trucks
- Boats & airplanes
- Stone & brick
