Aladdin's Digital Photo Inventory System

When damage is extensive and a customer pack out is necessary, Aladdin's has the tools and system in place to make this process go quickly and smoothly. A pack out is the process of carefully packing a customer's damaged personal property so that it can be moved to a facility for restoration and storage until the time that it can returned to the customer.

The Old Way

Customers were charged cleaning fees by the box and by individual prices for large items. The problem with this system is that there is no accountability. There was never any routine that was followed to ensure that boxes were filled completely, contents were organized and that they would be safe from damage. Often times disputes arose from customers who received their contents back claiming the cleaning company damaged their property. After the contents were packed and moved to the cleaning company's storage facility, customers were often shocked to find out the conditions in which their contents were exposed to or stored in.

The New Way

Aladdin's uses a new Digital Photo Inventory System that ensures that disputes from customer pack outs are a thing of the past. Our new system ensures accurate pricing and records any existing damage of the contents. Each large item is tagged and photographed with a digital camera; areas that are damaged are photographed before any moving begins. Objects with ID tags such as electronics that have model, serial, or other identification numbers are photographed with extra detailed photos of the ID tags.

Small items, such as bric-a-brac, are placed onto a table with all other items that are to be placed into a single box. Once the table has enough items to fill the box, pictures are taken of the table and it's contents with a board in the background showing customer and box information. This way contents can easily be tracked or located during storage if needed. All items are carefully packed and loaded into one of our trucks or trailers, each having suspension systems that ensure your items have a gentle ride to and from our facility.

At the completion of the packing, a CD-ROM disc is given to the customer and the insurance agent with copies of all of the pictures taken. This way everyone has visual records of items that were moved and any existing damage they may have.
