Aladdin's Carpet Cleaning

Aladdin's Carpet Cleaning

You just bought new carpet for your home, so how do you maintain its fresh, new look long after the installers leave? In order to maintain the life and beauty of your carpet for as long as possible, it is important to have it cleaned regularly. Not only does regular cleaning keep your carpet looking its best, it removes pet dander and other allergens from the carpet fibers.

At Aladdin's your business is important to us, so our professionals take special care to make your carpet look its best. Our carpet cleaning technicians are IICRC certified to ensure that they are knowledgeable in the finest methods available in carpet care.

We use truck-mounted machines capable of operating single or double lines so whether the job is big or small, we are prepared. Truck mounted machinery is capable of far greater suction, insuring that your carpet will be as clean and as dry as possible. We offer full room and traffic lane only cleaning in an effort to suit your needs, and while no one can guarantee that every spot can be removed from you carpet, we can assure you that our trained technicians will make a concerted effort to remove the spots you do have.

Aladdin's uses and is certified by the IICRC in the "Hot Water Extraction" method of carpet cleaning. This is the method recommended by most carpet manufacturers including Shaw Industries, one of the world's largest flooring manufacturers. Beginning January 1, 2008 Shaw' Industries residential warranty information will state that any carpet warranty work must be completed by an IICRC Certified Firm. The change will also direct consumers toward IICRC Certified Firms for professional cleaning under the terms of their new warranty. These industry changing announcements were made September 29, 2005 by Carey Mitchell, Technical Director of Shaw Industries, during the Connections Convention, and industry trade show and convention. You are welcome to visit Shaw Industries' website and learn more about their many recommendations for carpet care.

HomeOwner Hint

In this industry you may hear about companies having or using a truck-mount. What is a truck-mount and why is it something to know about? A truck-mount is a term used for equipment that is permanently mounted inside of a vehicle and is run directly off the vehicle's engine. The advantage of this setup is simple: more power. Truck-mounted systems begin with more suction power, and if more is needed the engine idle can be increased to supply even more suction. For carpet cleaning, more suction equals less moisture and cleaning agents that are left behind and quicker drying times. Less moisture also leaves no time for mold or mildew to form. Even the best portable units cannot match the results of a truck-mounted system.

Steps in Carpet Cleaning

Aladdin's follows the IICRC Standard for Carpet Cleaning, These principles of professional carpet cleaning include the following:

  • Dry Soil Removal – We ask that you vacuum the area to be cleaned before our technicians arrive.
  • Soil Suspension – First our technicians will apply a pre-spray conditioner to the carpet.
  • Soil Extraction - Once the soil is suspended it must be physically removed. For this step Aladdin’s uses a Hot Water Extraction method, which is often referred to as steam cleaning.
  • Neutralization - This is a step that actually falls under the chemical action part of the standards. It is almost always best to leave the carpet in a neutral or slightly acid condition rather than alkaline. This step will help prevent browning, bleeding, fading, fiber damage, and will prepare carpet for an application of carpet protectant.
  • Grooming – Finally our technicians will groom your carpet using a special brush. This will set the natural nap of the carpet back into place. Grooming helps the carpet dry and gives it a fresh appearance; it also helps in the distribution of any post-cleaning treatments such as carpet protectant that may have been applied.
